Rare 3-D footage of The Queen discovered
London, Nov 12 (ANI): A rare, unseen 3-D footage of The Queen during her Coronation year has been unearthed from the vaults of British Film Institute.
The footage was shot by cameramen Bob Angell and Arthur Wooster in 1953 while the Queen travelled around the country meeting her subjects and made the historic journey to Westminster Abbey for her Coronation ceremony.
Arthur's son, David, who has followed in his father's footsteps as a cameraman, recalled telling him he was going to film the World Cup in 3D.
"I thought it would be the one thing I could say I had done that my Dad hadn't. But he trumped me and said: 'I've done that and it was the Queen'," Sky News quoted him as saying.
The 3-D footage also shows the Queen at the Epsom Derby and on a trip on the Royal Barge on the River Thames.
The Queen in 3D will be shown on Channel 4 on November 16th and 17th. (ANI)
