The action was taken after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a show cause notice to the three operators on Wednesday, Nov 11 for violating guidelines of the Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL).
"Three airlines on November 10 operated flights during wet runway conditions at Mumbai airport. We have issued show-cause notices to these three operators for alleged violations of directions regarding wet runway operations," DGCA said.
The Kingfisher airline skidded when it tried to land on the wet runway. Though passengers were safe, the airline was badly damaged.
