London, Nov.6 (ANI): England and Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney wants to finish his career at the club by emulating record appearance holder Ryan Giggs.
The England strike star, 24, has racked up 252 games for United in five years and scored 105 goals, and seems determined that new son Kai grows up a Mancunian and watches daddy playing at Old Trafford until he hangs up his boots.
Rooney still has some way to go to catch up with 35-year-old Giggs who has played 816 matches, reports The Sun.
"The number of games Giggsy has played is unbelievable and if I can get anywhere near that, I'd be delighted. I have always said I would love to end my career here and if I could emulate what Giggsy has done at this club it would be an amazing achievement," Rooney said.
Rooney has clearly loved his time at Old Trafford since making a controversial 30 million pound switch from boyhood heroes Everton in August 2004. (ANI)
