The 19-year-old is expected to be shifted to Delhi by Monday, Nov 9 where she would be accommodated at a safe place, say media reports.
On Friday, Oct 30, the LeT militants armed with guns and grenades launched an attack on Rukhsana's house to avenge the killing of their mate. However, no one was hurt in the incident.
Police had intercepted a conversation between militants where they spoke of eliminating Rukhsana and her family and they have not ruled out further attacks.
"At this point in time, I can tell you that Rukhsana is being shifted to Delhi," a police official said, refusing to give any other detail.
Rukhsana has also reportedly turned down the job of Special Police Officer (SPO) in Jammu Kashmir police and has pressed for a post in the paramilitary forces particularly the CRPF.
The story of Rukhasana's bravery came to the limelight in Sep 2009. The 19-year-old girl, who killed one terrorist and injured another when they barged into her house, earned the title of braveheart.
