F1 title battle in 2010 will be toughest ever, say Button, Hamilton

By Super Admin

London, Nov 3 (ANI): Formula One Champion Jenson Button and his immediate predecessor Lewis Hamilton have said that next season's F1 title battle will be the toughest ever.

Both the British drivers believe eight people will be gunning for glory in 2010.

New champion Button fears Hamilton's McLaren team, Ferrari and Red Bull will get their act together after missing out this year.

"I think there's going to be a big battle at the front which is going to be a new thing for all of us. Having four teams fighting it out at the front has never happened in F1," The Sun quoted Button, as saying.

"But with eight drivers fighting for wins, I think it's exciting. Ferrari and McLaren are going to be competitive next season. They have the resources, they have the expertise, they have competitive drivers," he added.

Button has been backed in his belief of a fierce title competition by 2008 champion Hamilton.

"It's very rare you have four teams battling it out for the championship. You normally have two, with a third maybe trailing off. It is going to be so competitive. I'm pushing my team harder than they've ever been pushed so they are all on the edge," Hamilton said.

"We're all pushing each other to make sure we leave no stone unturned because we want to arrive in Bahrain in March with a chance of winning the race," he added. (ANI)
