Narayanan-Jones discuss PM US visit
Washington, Oct 31: In his low profile visit to Washington, National security Adviser MK Narayanan met the US National Security Adviser(NSA) Gen James Jones to discuss the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to White house scheduled 0n Nov 24 and other mutual issues.
"The focus of the meeting certainly was trying to make excellent preparations for a successful state visit later in November. A wide range of issues were touched upon that reflects the strategic partnership between the United States and India," Mike Hammer, spokesman of US NSA said.
It has also been reported that the meeting included a discussion on US government's strategy in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The shared commitment between the two countries to combat terrorism and the post-election situation in Iran. Energy and strenghtening stronger economic and trade links was also figured in the discussion.

Narayanan's
visit
is
seen
as
part
of
the
ongoing
US-India
relationship
that
started
between
the
two
security
council
in
the
G20
summit
and
strenghten
further
with
Gen
James
Jones
visit
to
two
day
visit
to
India
in
June,
2009.
This is Narayanan first visit to White House in the Obama administration. He also met the other Obama's other national security and Intelligence officers.
