While the 13 MLAs and one MP including two ministers and supporters of Gali Janardhan Reddy have already reached the city and have settled in at the Novatel hotel, more MLAs are expected to join them by Friday, Oct 30.
It is learnt that the dissident MLAs are first being shifted from their places to Bellari and then to Hyderabad.
The BJP leaders, who took a special flight and landed at the the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, preferred to stay indoors after reaching the hotel while scores of reporters, and media personnel crowded outside the hotel.
The leaders have also directed the hotel to not provide rooms to other guests till the BJP members left the place.
This kind of a spill-over of political crisis from Karnataka to Andhra reminded many of the similar incidents in the past wherein the spill over was from Andhra to Karnataka.
In Aug 1985 , Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had set up a camp in Karnataka's Nandi Hills. During this turmoil, chief minister NT Rama Rao had to battle a rebellion sparked off by Nadendla Bhaskara Rao within the party.
In yet another similar coup formulated against Rama Rao, N Chandrababu Naidu had led the dissidents to the then Hotel Viceroy in Aug 1995.
Interestingly, the present development has also interest among the political leaders in the city especially those hailing from Rayalaseema region and having business interests in Karnataka.
