Becks may not break Shilton's 125-cap record after all!

By Super Admin

London, Oct.30 (ANI): England's high-profile clash with Brazil could see the absence of David Beckham if LA Galaxy wins their MLS play-off next week.

Should that happen, it would wreck Beckham's chances of breaking Peter Shilton's 125-cap record in South Africa next year.

England fly to Qatar for a World Cup warm-up with Brazil in Doha on November 14, and Beckham will be occupied with his American club if Galaxy beat Los Angeles rivals Chivas USA in their MLS Cup play-off. If Galaxy progress to the next round, they will play on Thursday, November 12, less than 48 hours before England kick off in Doha, reports The Sun.

Beckham, 34, won his 115th England cap against Belarus two weeks ago and is desperate to overtake Shilton's record. If England makes it all the way to the final in South Africa, they will play 11 games between now and the end of the season, and Becks would need to be involved in every one to become the country's most-capped player.
