Pak: ATC to charge 26/11 culprits
Rawalpindi, Oct 28: Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, Chief of Lashkar-e Toiba (LeT) and culprit in the Mumbai terror attacks will be charged by the Anti-Terrorism Court with the other suspects, according to the directives given by the Lahore High Court's (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench.
Rehman, the mastermind behind the 26/11 attack had appealed to the LHC Rawalpindi not to allow the Anti Terrorism Court-I (ACT-I) to indict any of the suspects without hearing their appeal. At the same time, Lakhvi had claimed that Ajmal Kasab confession based on which they were being tried upon has not reached them yet.
The Daily reprot said the decision of the bench came after hearing after which the ACT-I Judge Malik Muhammad Akram Awan to was directed to frame charges against all the terror suspects, locked in Adiali jail.
This decision of the Lahore High Court will help to ease the uproar created in India after the case against Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed, the alleged mastermind behind the 26/11 terror attacks was disposed off.
