London, Oct 27(ANI): David Beckham's return on loan to AC Milan has edged one step closer with Milan CEO Adriano Galliani saying that the star will return to San Siro in January.
"Someone will arrive in January, a great boost for our midfield. He's an English player, his first name is David, you can try to guess what his surname is," The Sun quoted Galliani, as saying.
"If you're thinking about David Beckham then it's him, anyone else, absolutely not. Only he will be joining, I can assure you of that," he added.
Galliani further said that an agreement has already been finalized.
"It's practically certain at 100 percent, the only thing missing is the signatures, but the agreement is complete," he said.
Beckham had earlier spent six months on loan to Milan after the end of the 2008 Major League Soccer (MLS) season and wants to continue playing during close season to stay in the running for a place on England's 2010 World Cup team.
He would stay with the Galaxy through the MLS playoffs, which ends with the MLS Cup in Seattle on November 22. (ANI)
