220 flood prone k'taka villages being relocated
Bangalore, Oct 27: 220 flood affected villages are being relocated starting Oct 25. Shri kshetra Dharmasthala entrusted with constructing 1,000 houses under Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development project has started its construction work in Kongawada villages.
Briefing reporters after his meeting with DR D Heggade. the Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, Chief Minister BS Yedyurappa said that the foundation stone for 50 relocated areas will be laid in the next ten to twelve days and the complete relocation of the flood affected victims will be completed within a period of six months at the the proposed cost of 1 lakh for each flood victims including a backyard shed for rearing cows.
Heggade said that the relocated areas identified by by the government will have Self Help Groups from January.
