Russia in India's priority list: Krishna
Moscow Oct 22: The 40 minute meeting with Russian President Medvedev ended with External Affairs Minister S M Krishna declaring Russia as the India's top most foreign policy priority.
"A wide range of bilateral and international issues, including Afghanistan, were discussed in the meeting with Medvedev," said Krishna adding that the visits by Prime Minister to Yekaterinburg in June and President Pratibha Patil in Sep 2009 are indications of India's intention to maintain relations with Russia.
Reciprocating India's gesture, Medvedev said that the two countries have cooperated in tackling current threats like terrorism, narco-crime and organised crime as well in battling the effects of global economic crisis.
