London, October 21 (ANI): A 99-year-old Brit has managed to keep his record spotless by never causing an accident or even getting a single speeding ticket during nearly one million miles behind the wheels.
George Geeson, of South Witham, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, said he has always prioritised safety, followed by the law, in 84 years of his driving.
The grandfather-of-three received his licence aged 15 in 1925 driving a Model T Ford and has owned dozens of cars and motorbikes since then.
The former garage owner, who never sat a formal driving test, was involved in one accident when another motorist shunted into the back of him in the pouring rain in 1958.
"I have always said to myself if I stay on the right side of the law I've no reason to be scared of anyone or anything," the Telegraph quoted him as saying.
"We used to think that 60mph was very fast but now people seem to drive at 100mph and that's too fast for me.
"I've always been careful. Even the one accident I did have was down to somebody else," he added. (ANI)
