Workers clash in Gurgaon factory, one killed
Gurgaon, Oct 19: Gurgaon still remained tense after a labour agitation left a worker dead in an auto component factory on Sunday night, Sep 18.
More than 200 striking workers of RICO factory were agitating outside the factory gate since the morning on Monday, Oct 19.
According to media reports, striking workers claimed that the management had sabotaged their plans to form a union and insisted that they will not let anyone enter the factory.
On Sunday, Oct 18, violent clashes broke out with the mob resorting to stone-pelting and firing. One worker had lost his life while over 17 others were injured.
A policeman was also injured in the clashes. The striking workers blamed the management for triggering the violence.
