Robert Plant campaigns for new cancer treatment

Washington, Oct 16 (ANI): Former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant is extending his support to a pioneering British cancer charity.

Killing Cancer is a charity that is aiming to raise 75 million dollars to fund further trials into Photodynamic Therapy, a treatment that can help cure some forms of cancer by killing cells through a combination of drugs and light.

The rock legend is a big fan of the treatment, which he claims is helping friends battle the disease.

"It really is an injustice that this form of treatment is not available to everyone in the U.K. I have friends currently receiving PDT, but only because we pushed to get it," Contactmusic quoted Plant as saying. (ANI)
