Pranab rejects China remarks on PM Arunachal visit
New Delhi, Oct 14: Rejecting China's comments about Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee reiterated the government's stand saying that Arunachal was an integral part of India and it is the legitimate right of the Indians to go and campaign there.
"It is an integral part of India. Consider it as our legitimate right to go and campaign there," he said

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said, "China is strongly dissatisfied with the visit to the disputed region by the Indian leader disregarding China's serious concerns."
India accuses China of illegally occupying 43,180 sq kms area of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the other hand, China accuses India of possessing some 90,000 sq kms of Chinese territory, mostly in Arunachal Pradesh.
