Callers warn of Modi's assassination, two detained
Ahmedabad, Oct 13: Two people have been detained for making phone calls to the city police station threatening to kill the Gujarat Chief Minister, Narendra Modi.
The city crime branch police who have taken the action against the callers said that after the Sunday, Oct 11 night calls the Chief Minister's security was beefed up.
Media reports quote sources as saying that the two detained are being interrogated. However, they have refused to reveal the detained persons' identity.
An anonymous caller who had called police control room told that two persons were in the city to assassinate Modi and an IPS officer at a public function. A second caller gave the details on where and how the attack would be launched.
