Mumbai, Oct 10 (ANI): School children here danced to the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tune urging every voter to exercise their franchise in upcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra.
"I think this is an excellent cause. This is a cause for a change, a message that is coming from young students, not only for all us but also to their parents. They must move out and vote even for the general assembly elections," said Indu Shahani, chief guest and former mayor of the state.
School-going kids were happy to dance for the cause.
"It's about the enthusiasm for encouraging parents and teenagers above 18 to vote and to select the right government," said Priyansh Dutta, a student.
The event was organised by 'Agni', a non-governmental organisation that made a jingle - 'Jai ho, Let's vote' on Friday.
Campaigning is on a high ahead of the October 13 polls in Maharashtra. Votes will be counted on October 22. (ANI)
