Kabul, Oct 9 (ANI): Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao on Friday said that the people responsible for Thursday's bomb blast outside the Indian embassy here which claimed 17 lives and injured over 60, were enemies of peace, democracy, the people of Afghanistan and the people of India.
"I think the investigation should be completed and as I said whoever is responsible for this attack is against peace, is against democracy, is against the people of Afghanistan, is against the people of India," Rao told media persons after surveying the damage caused to the embassy by the suicide car bomber.
Rao, however, refused to get into the specifics of the investigations nor did she reveal what New Delhi thought about who was behind it.
There has been speculation in the media that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) may have once gain played a role in facilitating the miscreants behind the attack, as it allegedly did in a similar attack on the same premises in July 7, 2008.
Rao has already said the suicide attack in Kabul was directed at the Indian embassy.
No embassy staff was killed in the attack, but three ITBP personnel deployed for security duties outside the embassy had received minor injuries.
India is taking this issue "very seriously", sources said. (ANI)
