Shah vows to fight for his England spot

By Super Admin

London, Oct.9 (ANI): Middlesex middle order batsman Owais Shah has vowed to keep on fighting for his England spot despite being dropped from the one-day squad for the winter tour to South Africa.

Shah, who struck 98 as England knocked the same opponents out of the recent Champions Trophy, will battle on.

"I feel I performed reasonably well in helping England to get to the semi-final stage of the Champions Trophy, but obviously I've been overlooked. I was told I haven't performed consistently enough," The Sun quoted Shah, as saying.

"I thought I was playing well. Sure, I didn't have a great series against Australia in the summer, but I was hitting the ball reasonably well. I started the Champions Trophy reasonably well, I was really confident, especially performing well against South Africa," he added.

"I'm just extremely disappointed not to make the team," he said. (ANI)
