CPI (Maoist) calls 48 hrs Bihar-Jharkhand bandh
Ranchi, Oct 8: The CPI (Maoist) called a two-day bandh in Jharkhand and Bihar from Monday, Oct 12 to protest against Centre's effort to curb the campaign using para-military forces, said Gopal, spokesman of Bihar-Jharkhand-Orissa-Chhatisgarh Special Committee.
It was reported that this banned outfit would also observe 'protest week' from Wednesday, Oct 7 to Tuesday, Oct 13.
The CPI (Maoist) admitted of kidnapping and beheading Jharkhand Special Branch Inspector Francis Induwar.
Meanwhile, former chief minister Babulal Marandi's Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantric) called statewide bandh on Saturday, Oct 10 against alleged inaction over its charter of demands submitted before the Governor a couple of months ago.
On the same day, the JMM would also lead a rally in Ranchi.
