Hyderabad, Oct 7 (ANI): Captains of the participating teams in the ensuing inaugural Champions League Twenty20 cricket tournament along with their team members shared their views and almost lent a curtain-raiser touch to this event of fast paced cricket matches.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, captain of Deccan Chargers Adam has said that he wishes to play his natural game in the tourney beginning October 8.
"The T20 format does not insist on a batsman to play cautiously as such one will play his natural game," he added.
"I don't feel any extra burden. I will just hopefully play my natural game and I don't think too many batsmen go too much with a cautious mind set in T20 format or else you will feel left behind," he said.
Deccan Chargers is scheduled to meet Somerset in their opening match on October 10 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile Gautam Gambhir, Delhi Daredevils newly appointed captain told that if their team plays to the potential then they surely have a chance to win the inaugural league title this year.
"We will try to play as per the potential we have in the team and if we do that, we will definitely have a very good chance to win the tournament. So I think it is too unpredictable and no one can guarantee you can win or not. But I can guarantee that we will give our 100 percent to win the tournament," Gambhir said. Delhi Daredevils open their campaign against Victoria on October 9.
The league will see 12 teams of which three teams are Indian sweating it out for the trophy with world's best domestic teams participating.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Cape Cobras in the opening match of Champions League T20.
The final match will be held on October 23. (ANI)
