Serena bares all for ESPN; may not play in Oz open

Melbourne, Oct 7: World tennis champion Serena Williams may not be allowed to participate in the Australian Open in 2010 for posing nude for the sports magazine ESPN and her behaviour in the US open semi-finals.

Media reports revealed that International Tennis Federation (ITF) is investigating Serena's case. She was also banned up to two grand slams under the sport"s code of conduct.

“You don"t know me. You better be right. I swear to God I"m going to take this ball and shove it down your throat," said an enraged Serena to the baseline judge in the US open semi-finals.

The ITF have the power to strip Williams of more than 500,000 dollars in prize money and impose a ban.

It can also ban Willimas from 15 grand slams if her posing nude for ESPN is considered a “major offense" under the sport"s regulations.
