Senior BJP leader Pyarelal Khandelwal passes away
New Delhi, Oct 6 (ANI): Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Pyarelal Khandelwal passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) on Tuesday. He was 84.
Khandelwal was suffering from cancer.
Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani and BJP president Rajnath Singh paid homage to the departed leader at the party headquarters.
The body will be flown to Bhopal where the last rites will be performed in the evening.
Born on April 6, 1929, Khandelwal was at present serving his second term in the Upper House. (ANI)
