Landslide in western Nepal kills 12
Kathmandu, Oct 6: At least 12 people were killed after a landslide struck Mastamandu village in western Nepal on Tuesday, Oct 6.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Singh, the landslide hit the village of Dadeldhura district at 3 am flattening two houses.
He said, "We have taken out five dead bodies so far from the under the debris of one house. Seven members of the other house buried by the landslide are yet to be recovered."
The landslide struck the remote village after three days of continuous rainfall, he added.
