London, Oct.6 (ANI): Formula One hero Derek Warwick has called on Jenson Button to show as much swashbuckling flair as Lewis Hamilton.Ex-Lotus and Renault star Warwick wants Button to be the second Brit in a row to be crowned world champion, reports The Sun.
"I'd like to see him win it with a little more flair. That's what endears me and a lot of the public to Lewis Hamilton because you get 100 per cent from him all the time," he was quoted, as saying.
"I'm not saying you don't get 100 per cent from Jenson because you do, but in a different way. And it's not the best way for us to remember 2009. We all remember 2007 and 2008, because of the way Lewis lost it, then won it. Now, I just want Jenson to be how he was at the start of the season," he added.
"We've got to remember the first seven races. Jenson won six of them and was magnificent. He drove like a world champion and looked like a world champion," he said.
Warwick, considered by many to be the best driver to never win a Grand Prix, conceded Button and his revered team boss Ross Brawn might have decided on a softly-softly strategy between them.
"I hope Jenson does it. And as a patriotic fellow Brit, I'll be proud if he does." (ANI)
