Wayne Rooney, a crazy gamer like any other lad

London, Oct 5(ANI): England striker Wayne Rooney has an obsession for computer games like millions of gamers across the world, and the football star has another reason to cheer as he is on the cover of the EA Sports 'FIFA 10' game and appears in frighteningly realistic digitally-rendered form.

Rooney's passion and love for the real game can also be seen in the digital form and he admits that he does enjoy playing it on his Xbox 360 just as any other crazy gamer.

"I love it. I play other games but it's mostly FIFA. I get in from training at about 2o'clock and get it on most days, sometimes for a few hours," The Sun quoted Rooney, as saying.

"Coleen doesn't mind. She's quite cool about it. I've got a games room at home. It's brilliant. The sort of thing you dream about when you're a kid," he added.

Rooney further said that he generally plays online and his Premier League club Manchester United is his preferred team.

"I'll mostly play as Man United and a lot of mates I play online with will be Liverpool or Everton. I suppose I get used to seeing myself in a computer game. I shout at myself a lot on screen, but I never substitute myself. That wouldn't be right," he added. (ANI)
