Lahore, Oct. 5 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan should not accept foreign trade at the cost of its sovereignty and prestige.
"We value our relations with friendly countries and are fully aware of the importance of their help in the development process, but no nation can compromise on its sovereignty," the Daily Times quoted Sharif, as saying.
Addressing the media and the public during his visits to various areas of Lahore to review development projects, Shahbaz said that no nation could prosper if it relied on foreign assistance alone.
He said the goals of economic prosperity and genuine independence could only be achieved if the available resources are fully utilized.
"Funds are meant for the masses and are being utilised for their welfare and uplift," he said. (ANI)
