Pak cricket team shrink says players have conquered fear of failure

By Super Admin

Lahore, Oct.3 (ANI): The Pakistani psychologist, who has been working with the national cricket team over the past few months, believes that Younis Khan's men are on course to win the elite ICC Champions Trophy, as the players have conquered the fear of failure.

Maqbool Babri, a clinical psychologist and hypnotist, said the body language of the team was very encouraging which would help them give their best on the field.

"Their body language is good. They are playing positive and most importantly they are also enjoying the competition, which are signs of a winning combination. The fear of defeat disables the true strength and potential of any team," The Daily Times quoted Babri, as saying.

It may be noted Babri had held several 'mental' sessions with the Pakistan team ahead of the ICC T20 World Championship earlier this year, which they ultimately won.

Babri pointed out that team India was under tremendous pressure in the game against Pakistan and thought too much about the result of the match rather than focusing on their performance on the field.

"I think that is also what happened with India when they played against Pakistan. They were thinking too much about what would happen if they lost. I have told our players that they must enjoy every match no matter which team they are playing against and play without fear of defeat, the positive results will come automatically because no team can win everyday," he said.
