DDA to get Rs 500cr for CWG event
New Delhi, Sep 30: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is likely to get additional amount of about Rs 500 crore from the government for the completion of Commonwealth Games infrastructure, a senior official said.
Earlier, the DDA was given a total of Rs 330 crore for execution of various Commonwealth Games.
"The Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) has approved the proposal to provide the additional fund of Rs 497 crore to DDA for completion of Commonwealth Games infrastructure in the capital," a senior Urban Development Ministry official said.
The scope and design of these projects have undergone several changes keeping the prevailing international standard in mind, the official said.
The DDA is executing several Commonwealth Games projects including stadiums, Games Village, flyovers which are to be completed before Oct 2010.
