New Delhi, Sep.29 (ANI): India's leading Education, Training and Services network, AISECT Ltd., recently won the TiE-Lumis Partners Entrepreneurial Excellence Award held in Delhi.
The main thought behind this award was to honour the endeavor and spirit of entrepreneurs who have made a mark in their respective sectors.
Santosh Choubey, Chairman and Managing Director, on winning this award said, "AISECT has diversified from providing educational services to collaborating with reputed companies in the banking, insurance and telecom sectors to become a holistic service aggregator in rural India. Prestigious awards like these facilitate companies like us to be recognised across globe and motivate us take more such initiatives."
TiE-Lumis Partners Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards act as mediator between the Indian government and industry with successful Indian entrepreneurs across the world. Adding to the award winning spree that AISECT Ltd. is on this is another accomplishment.
AISECT is also the recipient of various prestigious awards such as The Indian Innovation Award and The National e-Governance ward, the i4d Award and Nasscom Emerge 50 Leader. The World Bank IIM (A) report recognised the AISECT model as highly sustainable and scalable in India's socio-technological.
Out of over 100 entries that were received from across different cities in India, six were short listed to present their plans before a significant audience of potential mentors, investors, corporate partners and the jury at TiEcon Delhi 2009. The entries were evaluated on several parameters such as an innovative business model, growth potential, and a sound revenue model together with the traction witnessed from customers by a jury comprising of veteran entrepreneurs and professionals from TiE and Lumis Partners. Finally only three companies won the prestigious award.
Established in 2006, AISECT Ltd. works in the area of developing models and solutions for ICT penetration and Increasing mployability in Semi Urban and Rural India. Over 1, 00,000 students in 6,500 centres across 27 states and three union erritories are educated and trained every year through a host of software, hardware, vocational and English speaking courses. In ddition, AISECT has successfully implemented several projects for the Central and State Governments of India in the area of e-overnance. (ANI)
