Kandhamal rehab blast: Three men detained
Phulbani, Sep 28: Three men suspected to have Maoist links have been detained in connection with the bomb blast at a Kandhamal rehabilitation centre which claimed a life.
Kandhamal SP Praveen Kumar who said that the detained were being interrogated informed that it was the four guns recovered from the blast site that led to the suspicion that the suspects are related to Maoists.
A forensic team has already visited the spot to determine the nature of the explosive used in making the bomb.
The bomb blast took place on Sunday, Sep 27. The identity of the person killed in the incident has not yet been disclosed.
However, it has been learnt that the person did not belong to Batikola village and had arrived at the rehabilitation centre at Nandagiri just about five days ago.
The person injured in the blast have been identified as Patrasen Mallick of Batikola village.
