New Delhi, Sep 24: Wrestler Ramesh Kumar created history by winning the bronze medal in the 74kg category at the World Wrestling Championship in Herning, Denmark on Wednesday, Sep 23.
It was country's first medal after 32 years at the World Wrestling Championship (WWC).
27-year-old wrestler defeated Dustin Schalatter of the America 3-2, Michael Grundy of the UK 4-2.
In the quarter finals he overcame Bulagarian grappler Kiri Terziev 7-4 but lost semifinal to Chamsulvarayev of Azerbaizan 0-3.
