Top al-Qaeda leader killed in South Waziristan in drone attack
Islamabad, Sep 23 (ANI): Osama Bin Laden's close aide and a top leader of al Qaeda, Nazimuddin alias Yahyo, was killed in a drone attack in South Waziristan on September 14, intelligence sources have said.
Yahyo, who was under surveillance for quite some time, was involved in some deadliest attacks on troops of Pakistan army's elite forces.
Though there is no official confirmation on Yahyo's death because the US confirms such incidents after a detailed check and scrutiny, the intelligence officials are confirming that Yahyo's chapter has been closed, The News quoted sources, as saying.
Intelligence sources are also confirming that another important leader of al Qaeda leader known as Ilyas Kashmiri has also been killed in another drone attack about a week earlier.
Ilyas Kashmiri was stated to be the al Qaeda's commander for Pakistan. (ANI)
