Maharashtra farmer discovers oil like substance in his field

Pimpale (Maharashtra), Sept 22 (ANI): Discovery of an oil like substance coming out of a borewell has created ripples in Pimpale village of Shiur district in Maharashtra.

Arun Pasalkar, a farmer, had dug around 300 feet borewell in his field that was left unused for lack of water.

But after monsoon, Pasalkar thought of trying his luck once again and left the motor running overnight, following which a petrol like substance was found collected in the pit along with water.

"Two days ago, we left the motor running overnight. The water from it collected into a pit. The water looked like petrol. People took some of it and even ran their farm engines with it. Upon information, I also dipped a cloth in it, which burnt easily. I then informed the authorities and the police, who came and sealed the borewell," said Pasalkar.

The discovery created quite a stir in the village.

The actual cause behind the discovery is yet to be ascertained. But surely it has left everyone amazed and astonished. (ANI)
