We will arrest Saeed soon: Pak Police
Lahore, Sep 18: The Pakistan police announced that it would arrest Hafiz Saeed, who was accused of raising funds for Lashkar e Toiba to aid the Mumbai terror strike.
"We will definitely arrest him," said Tahir, a senior Pakistan police official.
Tahir added that two criminal cases were filed against Saeed as he illegally held a public gathering and raised funds for Jamaat-ud-Dawa in Faisalabad, Punjab province in Aug 2009.
Saeed always maintained that Jamaat-ud-Dawa, his organization helped destitute.
A spokesman for Saeed said that a lawyer would soon be consulted.
Saeed was arrested in Dec 2008, after India provided a dossier of evidence against him.
But in Jun 2009, a Pakistani court freed Saeed from house arrest due to paucity of evidences against him.
