Srinagar, Sep 18: Just days after striking Indian territory with rockets, Pakistani defence forces violated the ceasefire norms again by resorting to unprovoked firing, in which two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans in a firing incident.

In what comes as yet another provocation to India, the firing took place on Thursday, Sep 17 night and reports says that the firing continues intermittently.

The attack was launched from the Pakistan side on a border post on the international border in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu Kashmir and firing from Light Machine Gun injured two BSF troopers who were guarding the border.

The BSF troopers retaliated by opening fire leading to a heavy exchange of fire.

On Friday, Sep 11 night, at least three rockets hit Indian territory from across the border. Even though no one was injured in the incident, the increased instance of the ceasefire violations come as a worrying development along the Indo-Pak border.
