Dharamsala, Sept 17 (ANI): Thousands of devotees converged here to participate in the three-day discourse by Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama.
Around 4,000 devotees, including mostly Buddhist and foreign tourists, attended the meeting.
Out of them, more than 1,400 were foreigners from 55 different countries, who had registered themselves for the occasion.
"One of the reasons for coming here today is to hear the teaching of Dalai Lama," said Suzanna, a devotee from New Zealand.
Also, around 200 Koreans attended the teachings.
"His Holiness is popular around the world. He attracts wherever he goes. When ever he gives a teaching or a special prayer he attracts more people to his events than any other person on the planet," said Victoria, a devotee from USA.
A Buddhist teaching session took place at the request of Korean Buddhists in the Tsuglagkhang Temple.
The Dalai Lama gave teachings on the fundamental principles of Buddhism and on particularly the four noble truths.
The Buddhist discourse began on Tuesday. (ANI)
