Capello reveals his loves and fears in magazine interview

By Super Admin

London, Sep.17 (ANI): In an interview with the Italian edition of Marie Claire, Capello has revealed his loves and fears, and admitted that if he had not been involved in football he would have liked to be an airline pilot "flying Boeings".

He revealed: "My greatest fear is ending up paralysed in a wheelchair. And the greatest victory in my private life is my wife, Laura.

"Football is just a job to me. The three things I could not give up are my own home, my family and travelling.

However, he added: "If I had to choose between a year without love or a year coaching in Italy's second division, I would make the obvious choice - a season in Serie B."

Capello, however did not name an England star in the best three players he has ever coached - instead, he plumped for two Italians and a Dutchman.

And he also rates Barcelona's Argentine star Lionel Messi the greatest player in the world ahead of the likes of Wayne Rooney. Capello said: "The best players I've had are Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi and Marco Van Basten and the world's best player now is Messi.

"The manager who I rate the most highly is Marcello Lippi. He and Jose Mourinho are two very capable coaches, they are both winners, and it is hard to choose between the two of them."

Capello also revealed his admiration for Manchester United landing an 80 million pound fee for Cristiano Ronaldo while AC Milan only received 55 million pound for Brazilian ace Kaka.

He said: "Cristiano Ronaldo is not worth 25 million pounds more than Kaka. (ANI)
