Mumbai, Sep 16: In a cost cutting measure, Tata Consultancy Services is slashing the variable pay for campus hires for their training period starting from Sep 2009.
In the new salary structure, the company has reduced the performance-linked variable pay component.
The trainees will only be eligible for variable pay after six months of the classroom training programme.
Under this structure, the variable pay component which accounted for 19 per cent till now, has been slashed to account for just 9.5 per cent.
Apart from this the employees will not be receiving any increment this year, TCS HR Head Ajoy Mukherjee said.
