Salgado wants Becks to join Blackburn

London, Sep.15 (ANI): Spaniard Michael Salgado has said that he will try to lure David Beckham to join him at Blackburn.

The pair forged a close friendship during their time at Real Madrid and have stayed in touch since leaving the Bernabeu.

LA Galaxy star Becks is known to want a return to Europe in January to cement his place in the England World Cup squad.

"David and I are still friends. He asked me all about my new club. Could I get David to Blackburn? Of course I'll have to speak with him. The problem might be we have to collect money from the players to pay his wages," The Daily Express quoted Salgado, as saying. (ANI)
