Islamabad, Sep.13 (ANI): A petition challenging the massive expansion of the US embassy in Islamabad has been filed in the Supreme Court.
The petition filed by advocate Zafarullah Khan challenged the allotment of land to the US embassy in Islamabad for the expansion work saying such a decision would pose a serious threat to the country's security and sovereignty.
"The extension of the United States embassy is a 'veiled bid' to destabilize Pakistan," the petition said.
It also claimed that buying of agriculture land in various cities of Pakistan would also be used in conspiracies against the country, The Daily Times reports. (ANI)
