Beatles fan Ancelotti wants Chelsea squad to come together

By Super Admin

London, Sep 12 (ANI): Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he is a huge Beatles fan, and wants his squad to come together.

The Blues are still trying to come to terms from the FIFA transfer ban after they were found guilty of poaching French kid Gael Kakuta.

Ancelotti insists his players do not need to adopt the siege mentality Jose Mourinho loved to use at Stamford Bridge to motivate his players.

Ancelotti was up for singing a couple of Fab Four songs yesterday to prove his knowledge of the band.

"I love the Beatles. I know them very well. If you want, I can sing them! Yellow Submarine is my favourite album. I like that. I like a lot of singles by Elton John. I don't know the titles of the songs.

Candle in the Wind. Very fantastic when he sang it at Diana's funeral," The Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.

On the more serious business of the ban from signing players, Ancelotti claimed his stars are totally focused on winning the big trophies this season without turning to mind games.

He said: "I think the motivation to win is already in the team. The most important thing is the philosophy of the team, the players. They have a very good mentality already."

"They are used to trying to win the Champions League, the championship. It's not necessary for Chelsea to have extra motivation. We don't want to take, from this situation, extra motivation. We have that already because we have great objectives in the season," Ancelotti said.

Chelsea takes on Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium today looking to extend their perfect start in the Premier League under the Italian.

Despite admitting that he was shocked to hear of the transfer ban, Ancelotti is determined that it will not undermine his team's challenge for honours. (ANI)
