Over 100 Taliban militants surrender in Swat
Islamabad, Sep 2: Over 100 Taliban militants have voluntarily surrendered to the security forces in the northwest Pakistan , the army said in a statement on Tuesday, Sep 1.
The Pakistan Army said, "105 militants voluntarily surrendered in the 24 hours to Tuesday evening in the Swat region of North West Frontier Province (NWFP)."
The Inter Services Public Relations said that 19 other militants were captured in the Swat and Malakhand regions of NWFP.
It also said, "Two more militants were killed in a shootout and a large quantity of weapons was also recovered."
