Norwegian man fined 800 pounds after reporting duping prostitute to cops!
London, September 1 (ANI): A Norwegian man was slapped with an 800-pound fine after he informed police about being duped by a prostitute.
The 28-year-old was charged under the country's new law that prohibits the purchase of sexual services.
According to Nordlys newspaper, the incident occurred in the northern city of Tromso.
"He contacted the police because he felt he did not get the sevices he paid for," Times Online quoted Kurt Pettersen, of Tromso Police, as telling the newspaper.
"Since they were not able to agree [on a price], the woman left and he ended up with nothing," Pettersen added.
Norwegian citizens face the risk of paying hefty fines or a six-month jail sentence if caught paying for prostitutes at home or abroad under the law against buying sex. (ANI)
