New Delhi, Aug 25: His book on Jinnah may have gotten him expelled from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but in Pakistan Jaswant Singh has turned into a big iconic figure.

Singh's book on Pakistan's founder, Mohammad Ali Jinnah has become the hot topic of debate across different platforms, say Pakistan media reports.

The book is reported flying off the shelves in Mr Books, the only store that had the copies until Monday, Aug 24.

The shop owner who ordered for more books is selling it at Rs 1995 as opposed to Rs 1167 in India. This is because of the costs incurred while transporting the book from India to Pakistan via Dubai, he clarified.

Jaswant Singh is also planning on visiting Pakistan to promote his book, 'Jinnah: India Independence Partition'.

The former External Affairs Minister is expected to arrive at Pakistan later this week and sign books in a bookshop in Islamabad. After this, the leader will be travelling to Karachi for another promotion event.

The organisers who do not want to publicise the event are sending out invites through word of mouth, say reports.
