Karnataka uncertain about banning Jaswant's book
Bangalore, Aug 21: The Karnataka government which seemed to be the next in line to ban Jaswant Singh's book on Jinnah is still unsure about taking the step.
The Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa who is now in Shimla attending BJP's 'Chintan Baithak' has put off the decision.
According to reports, BSY is expected to make the decision only after he returns from Shimla and discusses the issue with his cabinet.
The BJP's brain-stroming session ends on Friday, Aug 21 and the Karnataka Chief Minister will return to his state on the same day.
The Narendra Modi government on Thursday, Aug 20 banned Jaswant Singh's 'Jinnah: India Partition Independence'. A statement released by the state government said that this decision was based on the fact that the book tarnished the image of the Indian leader, Sardar Vallabhai Patel and questioned his patriotic spirit.
