Karachi, Aug.19 (ANI): An influential member of the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) Governing Board, Dr Muhammad Ali Shah, has criticized the board for its unprofessional attitude terming it as 'ad-hocism'.

Shah lambasted the PCB for not implementing its own constitution and said it was being run like a one-man show.

"The PCB is yet to implement its constitution. There is a Governing Board but it is seldom consulted on key issues. The PCB management just informs us about its decisions, which is not the way it should be done,: The News quoted Shah, as saying.

Shah lamented that the fact that cricket is still being run on an ad-hoc basis is further damaging the sport in the country.

"We should have a proper system because that's the only way we can secure bright future for our cricket," he said.

He also criticized the board management for retaining 'aging' team officials despite the disastrous tour of Sri Lanka.

"Both the team's coach and manager are quite old and cannot do justice to what are two very tough and important jobs," Shah said.

Shah said he has proposed the name of Mian Munir for the team manager's post for the ICC Champions Trophy.

Munir had served as an assistant manager for Pakistan team's famous tour of India in 1999. (ANI)
