Murray enters Rogers Cup final, set to become World No. 2

By Super Admin

Montreal, Aug 16(ANI): British tennis player Andy Murray has beaten France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to move into the final of the Rogers Cup in Montreal, which also meant that he would become the World No. 2 when the new ranking list is released on Monday.

During the process, Murray will also become Britain's first World No. 2.

Murray would break into the top two which had been with Roger Fedrer and Rafael Nadal since 2005.

Murray will be behind current World No. 1 Roger Federer, who has won a record 15 grand slam titles, and who happens to be the greatest tennis player of all time.

"To get above Rafa is incredible. Roger and Rafa have shared the top two rankings for years. It's great, and now there's just one more spot to go," The Telegraph quoted Murray, as saying.

Murray will play American Andy Roddick or Argentine Juan Martin del Potro for the Rogers Cup title today. (ANI)
