New Delhi, Aug 14 (ANI): The consular staff of the Pakistan High Commission-led by the High Commissioner in New Delhi celebrated the nation's 62nd anniversary of Independence Day on Friday.

To mark the I-Day celebrations, the High Commission was decorated lavishly and the children of the consular staff presented colourful cultural programmes.

In Pakistan, the day commenced with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salute in the capitals of four provinces.

In Islamabad, the flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Convention Centre.

'Change of Guards' ceremony was the highlight of the I-Day celebrations in Karachi at the mausoleum of Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.
